The Conroe Drive-In opened on June 17, 1971 with John Wayne in “Chisum”, Peter Cushing in “Frankenstein Must be Destroyed” & James Franciscus in “The Valley of Gwangi”. It closed at an unknown date. The Mims Baptist Church now stands on an adjacent site, with the drive-in site unused.

It appears that the drive in property is vacant and the church property backs up to the old drive in.
