The Coliseum Airdome Theater was on West Adams Street between Walnut Street and High Street. It launched with “The Waters of Death” on May 14, 1914.
The Coliseum Airdome was an open-air movie-garden venue featuring bench seats and motion pictures at the five-cent price point. In 1916 a stage was added. The theater operated seasonally as weather permitted, open in 1914 from May 14 until September 17; in 1915 from May 26 until September 20; and in 1916 from May 27 until August 23. It was managed by Vaudelle Theater owner Thomas Lacey.
