The Cineplex Wakaba opened its doors on June 26, 2004 (four days before the grand opening of Wakaba Walk commercial facility) featuring 9 screens, 1,730 seats, and eight wheelchairs (one in each auditorium except Screen 5, which has none). It was renamed the United Cinemas Wakaba on July 23, 2016.

Screen 1 is the largest with 418 seats, while Screen 5 is the smallest with 112 seats as well as 4DX installations. The rest of the auditoriums have ranging capacities of 116-290. Screens 1, 5, and 6 all have installations of HDCS, known as the Herald Dynamic Clear Sound. Screen 3 also has installations of a RealD system.
