Hakodate Toho 1-2-3

The Hakodate Toho & La Scala Theaters opened their doors on November 28, 1972 on site of another movie theater called the Daimonza which opened in 1931 and closed in the early-1970’s. A third screen was added in 1992, becoming the Hakodate Toho 1-2-3.

Screens 1 and 2 housed 160 seats, with Screen 1 screening a mix of Japanese and foreign films, while Screen 2 shows Toho films. Screen 3 housed 64 seats featuring the same mix as Screen 1.

After closing for the final time on February 5, 2006, it was demolished to make way for a hotel simply named “Super Hotel Hakodate”.
