This cinema opened in 1925 with 1,200 seats with the name Familia Palace. In the 1930’s it was taken over by Paramount and became Familia Paramount. It was one of the largest and important cinemas in Lille and showed “Metropolis” directed Fritz Lang and “The Sheik” with Rudolph Valentino in the silent era.
