The Downsview Cinemas opened either in or around November 1973 by Maritime Theatres and was closed by Empire Theatres in November 2003 when they opened their seven-screener nearby, which has its own Cinema Treasures page. Screens 1 and 2 both housed 210 seats while Screen 3 housed 322 seats.

This was submitted three times with opening in 1973, ‘75, and '77. Please confirm which is correct.
Quite possibly demolished. Lots of changes at this mall.
It probably had to be 1973. The mall opened that November, and its most likely that the theater opened around the same time the mall opened its doors. It was listed in the 1975 edition of the Canadian Film Digest, though I can’t find the 1973 and 1974 editions.
Also, this was a replacement of a nearby Rex Theatre, also in Lower Sackville, which will have its own CT page soon once I find more information about it.
