Located in the city centre near the corner of Wellesley Street East with its entrance on Lorne Street, next to the St. James Theatre. The Embassy Theatre was opened in 1936 by J.C. Williamson. It was taken over by Kerridge-Odeon in 1946. It was still open in 1960.
It had closed by 2008 and was demolished in October 2015. The site was a vacant plot of land in January 2023.
