Ridley’s? Thought it was Ripley’s all of these years….
This haunted house experience is called “Terror” and will be in the space from Sept 29-Nov 6th.
Using 20,000 square feet of space, it must be using some areas of the former theatre and in typical Times Square promo way it claims
“Terror Haunted House is a combination of groundbreaking 4-D experience housed in an
authentically recreated haunted environment which produces the most Immersive Horror
experience to date. You will hear, see, smell, and feel the fear.”
Interesting. Do you have any further information on that?
A story I recall reading on that movie on Den of Geek stated -
“The Fantastic Four was scheduled to open on Labor Day weekend in 1993. It wasn’t to be. A January 1994 opening was floated, but never materialized, either.”
There’s no mention of Mall of America. What might you have ?
Having some open time before my appointment in Center City today, and seeing the Boyd, I went by the Roxy to check if any movement was made it. There was none, so I jumped on here for an update and see this befuddling question?
What is it about? What’s not clear in the description at the top of the page? What sort of information are you attempting to surmise?
in the place of the grand titles that played when this venue was the majestic Boyd theatre is now the word “BANKROLL” in a poorly designed font. White letters on a black background.
We’ll presume that’s the name of the next alleged tenant.
wrestling fans can get a look at this venue as it hosts New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Rumble on 44th Street" 10/28.
Tickets were priced at $39.50, $49.50, $69.50, $79.50, $99.50, $149.50, $199.50, $249.50, $349.50, and $499.50 for VIP Box seating with food service. There are very few tickets on sale for Rumble on 44th Street at this point, mostly from re-sellers who are charging upwards of $1,000 per seat.
The space that was the Biltmore is now part of the Dundas Square massive shopping complex, which includes the Cineplex of Yonge/Dundas, a Winners store, Dollarama, Jack Astors amongst others.
Some stores are on street level as well, so the Lids seems to line up where the Biltmore entrance was
The Century Stadium is a 15 minute drive from DisneYland. It’s not as though it’s located in Downtown Disney, which is a quick walk from both Disneyland Park and DCA. Referring it to ‘down the street’ is misleading.
There is archival footage with the DVD for “Cruisin 57”, which has that movie opening on October 15, 1975 at the Vista. That would make the ‘gay porn’ era of this venue taking place at least in 1975, not 1977 as noted above.
There is a campaign going on to try to save the theatres

good for you. No one here needs that ‘information’.

How are you confirming this information about seating?

aren’t there 9 theatres in this slide? Why no update on their pages?
there was film being run and tested at Cinerama Dome? That’s great news, might be closer to re-opening…
The above mentioned film festival is continuing! This year has quite an impressive lineup - https://vintagefilmfestival.com/

thanks for the link Howard, but philly yimby? Oy.
This looks to be concept drawings from December of 2020. When something is official, get back to us.
and where is this ‘local media’ discussing that story please?
Rudy’s got bigger problems anymore than closing down some adult theatres….

The Jewellry Store is still at the corner, it’s called Barclay Jewellery Ltd.
Can the address please be updated, the last three digits of the postal code are missing…
399 Yonge St, Toronto, ON M5B 1S9
Los Angeles is center of the movie making industry - why not there?
I read the article and it didn’t mention the 42nd St location, or any complex by name. Why post it just here and not in every Regal page?
an even further internet search (imagine that !) lists the building now as a preschool/daycare center.
Given what the building formerly was, I hope that irony isn’t lost on anyone.
One of the programs hosted there is ‘little minds, big dreams’ and they give a phone number of 215-292-3915

per the ‘extended’ version of the Toby Ross classic, “Cruisin ‘57”, this theatre held the San Francisco premiere Oct 15, 1975
That’s something we really don’t need to know
4 years later? Umm. ok…
