Listed as the Electric Theatre in the Bioscope Annual 1914 it was re-named the East Road Cinema in the 1915 edition of Bioscope Annual.

It is listed in the Kinematograph Yearbook’s at least from 1927 through to 1940. At that time the proprietor was F.E. Wildridge. By 1937 it was operated by D.F. Lintine and the closest station given for delivery of films is Old Street (tube). By 1944 it has disappeared from listings, so it could have been a casualty of war-time bombing.

Any further information on this ‘lost’ cinema would be appreciated.
