This is the first cinema to operate in the Hertfordshire town of Bishop’s Stortford for over 23-years, since the closure of the Regent/Granada in 1977.
The 6-screen Cineworld opened on 8th December 2000. Seating capacities in the screens ranges from 299, down to 104.
It was taken over by Empire Cinemas Ltd. in late-2006 and re-branded Empire.
