Located in Walkden, Lancashire. The Criterion Picture House was built in late-1922. The cinema had a billiard hall attached. It was operated by the H.D. Moorhouse Circuit from opening until 1956. The cinema had a 17 feet wide proscenium.
It was demolished in the early-1960’s, and part of the Arndale Shopping Precinct was built on the site in 1965, which also contained the Unit 4 Cinema.
