In Maybole, South Ayrshire, the original Carrick Cinema House opened in 1912.
By 1927 it was owned by Carrick Cinema (Maybole) Ltd.
In the 1930’s the owners built a more modern cinema, the New Carrick Cinema, which opened in August 1938. The ‘old’ Carrick duly closed. The building has been demolished.
