Cine Bogart

Built in 1906 as a vaudeville theatre with the name of Salon Madrid by architect Luis Lopez. Transformed into a cinema in 1909 by the same architect. Between 1916 and 1918, architect Francisco Reynals transformed the building into a fronton for ladies (fronton is a building used to play the Spanish sport of Jay Alai). Four years later (1922) it was converted back into a cinema by architect Luis Ferrero with the name of Teatro Rey Alfonso. Renovated in 1982 by architect Alfredo Batuecas, its named was changed then to Cine Bogart.
