This theater was already open by 1910, and stood on S. Ashland Avenue at W. 46th Street in the New City neighborhood. The Davis Square Theater was named for the park of the same name, just a couple blocks away. The theater was closed by 1923, when a new building was constructed on the site, which still stands today, housing a pair of restaurants, and apartments on the second floor.
