Roxy Cinema

The Roxy Cinema on Damien Street, in the St James suburb of the Port of Spain, opened in October 1934 and was built for Timothy Roodal. It also served as a concert hall and theatre, and prior to the building of the Queen’s Hall it was the venue for the Trinidad & Tobago Music Festival. Occasionally it played host to the Auntie Kaye talent show. It closed in the 1980’s and behind the Classical-moderne style colonnade you will now find the largest Pizza Hut restaurant in the Caribbean.
