A conversion into a cinema of the South Eastern Banking Co. building by architect Melville S. Ward. The Theatre De Luxe was opened in 1910 and was operated by the Electric Theatres(1908) Ltd. chain. By 1934 it had been re-named Cinema De Luxe. It was listed in the 1944 edition of Kine Yearbook as (Closed). The building was destroyed by a fire in 1954 and a parade of shops and a Premier Inn Hotel now occupy the site, with a branch of Greggs bakers at the actual address.
