This was the first Madison Theatre in Cleveland. It was built in 1915. Closed around 1944. The “new” Madison Theatre with the same name built by 1944 nearby at 9410 Madison Avenue, where only the auditorium stands today (it has its own page on Cinema Treasures).

In 1950, the original Madison Theatre was purchased by the West Side Irish American Club, Inc., and remodeled it to include a hall, a bar, a library, a kitchen, and meeting rooms. The new home of the club opened on New Year’s Eve 1951. Closed in 1987 (relocated to Olmsted Township) this building is now home to Belinda’s Night Club.
