The Salmar Community Theatre opened in May 1949 replacing the Rex Theatre. Seating was listed at 416. The theatre became the Salmar Classic Theatre when the Salmon Arm Committee Association opened the new four-screen Salmar Grand Theatre (It has its own page on Cinema Treasure).
It now operates as a concert venue.

This was once known as the Salmar Community Theatre. When the Salmon Arm Committee Association opened the new four-screen Salmar Grand Theatre in May 1997, the old Salmar Theatre closed as a first-run theater that same month but continued to operate as a concert venue.
