The Markville 4 was opened by Famous Players on March 19, 1982. I have an advertisement from the Toronto Star dated September 16, 1989 for “Lethal Weapon 2” for this theatre. It was closed on July 23, 2000 and converted into a gymnasium. It is now in retail use as a drugstore.

Opened on March 19th, 1982 with 4 screens and expanded to 6 in 1991 and closed in 2000. Grand opening ad posted.
This Google Street View image from 2009 shows the original theatre structure after its conversion to a Goodlife gym. With the same entrance as seen here, the theatre had a narrow lobby down the centre with the concession stand on the right-hand side. Theatres 1 and 2 were to the left, 3 and 4 to the right (all were narrow auditoriums with single aisles down the middle). The old emergency exits for all four theatres (which were under the screens) can also be seen if you look closely. Around 2014, Goodlife moved to a different location in the mall and this exterior facade was rebuilt for Shoppers Drug Mart.
This cinema opened on March 19, 1982, with its opening films including Raiders of the Lost Ark, Shoot the Moon, Deathtrap, and Night Crossing. From what I can tell from various listings, it did not expand in any way at all.
Pictures of this cinema is on page 9 of the Famous News (May/Jun 1982) by Famous Players Canada, Ltd.
Famous Players opened the Markville cinemas on March 19, 1982, with four screens. Its opening lineup included “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” “Shoot the Moon,” “Deathtrap,” and “Night Crossing.” Contrary to this description, it was not expanded to six screens in 1991. It did not expand beyond its initial four screens at all. It closed on the evening of July 23, 2000, with its final films including “Scary Movie,” “Gladiator,” “Chicken Run,” “The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle,” and “The Perfect Storm.”
