Airdome

This airdome opened sometime in 1908, on what had previously been an empty lot. It was rather deep and narrow, and had a small two story wooden structure at the front.

The theater remained in operation through October 6, 1914. It was briefly replaced by a hot dog stand, but was replaced in 1924 by the Dunlap Theatre, which occupies the site today.

Note that the historical address was 207 Kansas (between Iowa and Wisconsin), but this was later changed to a dull and generic set of names.

The Airdome opened by the two Seals in 1908. They used an Edison projector to present short subjects. It closed at the end of its 7th season on October 6, 1914. Archie Calkins opened a weinie stand to sell red hots in 1915 ending the venue’s run.
