The Mirza Shrine Temple was built in 1925 by the Shriners. It is a large red brick auditorium with limestone trim, in an Egyptian style.
Movies were apparently shown here at least occasionally, as Yearbooks from 1927 and 1928 contain mangled references to a ‘Murzah’ and a ‘Mumza’. No capacity is shown, and it appears that films were abandoned around 1930.
The Shriners vacated this huge building in 1945, moving into an old auto dealership. The city purchased the building for use as a municipal auditorium, and renamed it. The building was further remodeled in 1984.
It appears that films can be shown, but the main use seems to be conferences and a few stage productions.
