Theatorium

This early theater was located in an attractive stone building constructed in 1906. The June 1906 Sanborn shows it ‘From Plans’ and likely incomplete.

The Theatorium was listed in 1907 and 1909 city directories. The owner was Charles A. Wray and the theatre offered 10 shows a day. It had closed by 1912, when the map shows a racket store here.

The building today has an unattractive mid-century storefront, and a cheap sheet metal awning. It is otherwise in good shape. It had been a coffee shop, but that relocated and the space appears vacant.
