The Rowe Theatre was the replacement of the Bladen Theatre, and opened its doors on July 15, 1946 with Ray Milland in “The Well Groomed Bride” (unknown if extras added). It was first owned by Roy Rowe and managed by Manley George, who had also operated the Bladen Theatre in Elizabethtown which had been in operation since 1929 and was later renamed Clark Theatre(it has its own page on Cinema Treasures). The Rowe Theatre housed 550 seats, with 400 seats in the main auditorium and 150 seats in the balcony.

It was still open in the mid-1960’s, but its closing date remains unknown at this time.
