The Timonium Drive-In located on Timonium Road and I-83 was one of the largest single screen drive-ins ever built. This drive-in opened August 3, 1955 with a capacity for 2,479 cars. The Timonium Drive-In closed around 1980 and has been demolished.

Yes, it was a massive drive-in — the back row was a full ¼-mile away from the screen.

This opened on August 3rd, 1955 with the World’s largest CinemaScope screen. Grand opening ad in the photo section. Fun for the whole family… for the price of a sitter!
