Park Cinema

Located in the Gladlys district of Aberdare. The Park Picture Palace was opened in March 1914 with “Mystery of the Black Mask”. It was designed by local Aberdare architect C.H. Elford. By 1934 it had been re-named Park Cinema.

By the early-1960’s it had been taken over by the Cardiff based Willis Cinemas chain. Still open in 1966, it had closed by 1969. The building has been in retail use for many years, currently in 2013 an auto parts shop for A1 Motors.
