Here is a picture of the Komedia Comedy Club showing the ‘legs’.
Despite the date in the camera data, these photographs were taken in June 2013.
Correction to the info above the cinema has 2 screens not 3. The area planned for the third screen is a cafe/bar.
This building was originally a supermarket and then a collection of market stalls.
The legs on the Duke of York’s were originally on another building in Oxford, but the legs on the Komedia were specially made for the new cinema. The red shoes are a reference to Dorothy’s ruby slippers.
One of the benefits of being a Picturehouse member is getting a discount at Gourmet Burger, like the one next door.
