Hansa Bio

In the principal port town on the Swedish island of Gotland, the Hansa Bio is now largely hidden behind a private house that appears to be a more recent build than the cinema, which opened in 1919.

The Hansa Bio only closed in 2006. When I visited, in August 2018, it was closed up, although some construction work did appear to be taking place.

It is located opposite Skolportsgatan, one of the historic gates in the city wall.
