Is it possible that this and the Westgate cinema listed on CT were the same building under different names? This one (Beech Hill) opened in 1930 if the date on the façade is correct. It later became the Royal Bingo Club, but I am not sure if the Royal name was ever applied during the cinema days – the KYB for 1964 lists it as Beech Hill.

The Ritz was turned into an indoor market, this too closed and after a period of dereliction the building was demolished at the end of the 20th Century.

Given that this cinema was renamed Cannon for only a few months, could it not perhaps go under its “proper” name on CT?

I think you may be right JohnGn – it was referred to as the ABC Ritz, but it closed about the time the circuit was rebranded with the sole ABC name.

Opened 1945 designed by José González Edo. It closed in 2009, had a 9 million Euro restoration and reopened in 2010. Three screens are very modern, one in an ornate traditional style with balcony. Now owned by the City of Malaga.
